6th Joint North Wisconsin/Upper Michigan & South Wisconsin Convention Details
The Lutheran Hour Ministries Joint Convention of the North Wisconsin and the South Wisconsin Districts took place Saturday September 27 at Peace Lutheran Church in Neenah, Wisconsin. The Convention started with an inspirational service of worship and praise with Holy Communion. Our current Lutheran Hour Speaker the Rev. Dr. Michael Zeigler delivered the sermon as well as the key-note convention address entitled “Let Your Light Shine”. Convention attendees, roughly 60 individuals, learned how sharing the Gospel is accomplished by the ways we shine our Gospel Light to those around us. The afternoon session focused on a quartet of related ministries that we can partner with Lutheran Early Response Team (LERT), Hearts of Mercy & Compassion, Comfort Dog Ministry, and Spiritual First Aid as we help carry one another’s burdens following natural or man-made disasters.
Everything Lutherans believe comes from the Bible. It is God’s message of love and hope for all people. The Bible is the written Word of God, handed down to us in order to point us to the truth that we are saved from our sin and eternal death by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that the Bible is completely reliable and without error. In it we learn everything we need to know about God’s love and His gifts to us.
