Lutheran Laymen's League
The Lutheran Layman’s meeting of Zone 10 was held on April 7th at St John~High Steeple starting with pot-blessed meal.
There was no meeting in Jan due to the weather.
Lloyd Schultz lead with the table prayer.
Delores Telshow played for us to sing “I Know that my Redeemer Lives” and “Take My Life and Let It Be” later.
Pastor Shorey had a brief devotion. Following that Mary Schultz passed out cards from the LLL box that was left from LLL Sunday. We went around the room, each telling what was on their card and how they would respond, which lead to lively conversation.
There was no old business .
There were 12 members and 2 Pastors present.
For new business the brat fry brought up much discussion with the only conclusion being a motion by Wil Strack to wait till the July meeting but pick an Aug date in case we can find workers. Mark Schroeter second it, Motion passed.
Pastor Shorey suggested some other event might be of interest and seeing only 2 were able to work, D Strack suggested we all check around for willing workers if we decide to go ahead at the July meeting.
The offering was $123, and Pastor Shorey moved to reserve it for paying the bill when Marilyn Mueller refills the Connect Rack. The motion was seconded and passed.
Following that Neal Mueller said he will contact churches where we don’t meet to see if they would like to have a rack too.
The next meeting will be in July at Trinity, Medford
Wil Strack moved to adjourn, second by Pastor Shorey and he then led us with the Lord’s Prayer.
